Understanding How RFID Work starts with the interaction between RFID tags and readers. A unique RFID tag is assigned to an asset, such as a tool, equipment item, pallet, carton, or material. When the tagged asset enters the detection area, a compatible RFID reader captures its identification information and sends the data to connected software. The system can associate the detected tag with the corresponding asset and operational event. An RFID Tracking System can then record these detections across receiving, storage, production, inspection, and dispatch, supporting asset movement tracking, inventory visibility, and operational traceability.
