BLE AoA
Bluetooth Low Energy – Angle of Arrival (BLE AoA) enables sub-meter indoor accuracy using antenna-array locators and long-life BLE tags. Ideal for Industry 4.0 environments that need real-time visibility of assets, people, equipment, and material movement.
Overview – What is BLE AoA?
Bluetooth Low Energy — Angle of Arrival (BLE AoA) is an indoor positioning technique that uses BLE transmissions together with gateway receivers fitted with antenna arrays to determine the direction a signal comes from. By combining angle measurements from multiple gateways, the system triangulates a tag’s position in real time with sub-meter accuracy — ideal where precise indoor location matters.
How BLE AoA Works
BLE tags broadcast packets, which are received by gateways with antenna arrays. These gateways calculate the angle of arrival (AoA) for each signal. The backend combines AoA data from multiple gateways to triangulate a 2D position, with filters and map constraints improving stability and accuracy.
